About Aprille

Aprille Gangi is a second‑year medical student at UMass Chan Medical School and a long‑time advocate for holistic health, nutrition, and youth empowerment.

Before entering medicine, Aprille swam competitively at Trinity College and worked as a middle school science teacher and soccer coach, where she focused on helping young people build confidence, resilience, and lifelong healthy habits.

These experiences shaped her commitment to whole‑person care and to empowering young people to understand and advocate for their health. Aprille is excited to join the incredible community of IBD Connect and to contribute to the supportive, uplifting space for young people navigating chronic illness. Outside of medicine, she enjoys cooking meals for family and friends, staying active, and traveling!
