Hannah Marmor

Media Director - Blog Writer

Hannah has grappled with ulcerative colitis since she was 14 years old, and several of her family members including her father, Stephen, are IBD patients. She first became involved with IBD Connect in high school when looking for a group of people experiencing similar challenges and found IBD Connect to be a warm and welcoming community. In 2025, Hannah graduated from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario with a Bachelor of Science (Honors), Specialization in Life Sciences. During her time at Queen’s, she was an undergraduate research student with the Gastrointestinal Diseases Research Unit at Kingston General Hospital. Hannah’s experiences with IBD, IBD Connect, and her research have inspired her commitment to support, advocate for, and empower IBD patients and their families. As the Media Director for IBD Connect, Hannah oversees the organization’s website and social media platforms. She also writes blog posts that explore how IBD affects individuals physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally. Hannah is a life-long Montreal Canadiens fan and enjoys playing hockey and skating in her free time. When not skating, Hannah can be seen walking her 87 lb. dog, Oakley and spending time with her friends and family.
